1DegreeEast & Gulbenkian are welcoming local creatives to apply for an investment of up to £700 (there is no minimum application amount) -whether you want to test out an idea, put a new show on in Kent or Essex or collaborate with another creative. Any art form will be considered as well as performance including digital work, music/sound, food or design.
Successful commissions will form a sharing during the South by South East Festival taking place at the Gulbenkian in Canterbury on 11 & 12 May.

In return for our creative investment, we ask that you:
Have an excerpt or short piece of work ready to be included in the sharing during South by South East Festival taking place on the 11 & 12 May 2022
Create content to help us tell the story of your commission on our website and social media.
We will ask you to:
Write a short description of your project including anything practical you might need from us to realise your idea (for eg. tech equipment or space)
Provide a photo or other visual material that represents your project
Write a short blog about your commission
Report back on any audience/participant engagement following the festival
Have a conversation with 1DegreeEast Producers' Hub about the future potential of your project
